Breast Uplift Cost
The entertainment industry, TV and movies in general have made everyone overly conscious about themselves and the way they look. Thanks to superstar celebrities and famous models that are postered and advertised all around us; women especially—are hugely concerned about their appearance. They are conscious about their bodies more than anything, and breasts being the outlining feature are the ones that get the most attention. As women age, their breasts become saggy and droopy. This may also occur due to lack of physical activity and as a result of some disease. However, there are ways to deal with it. Breast uplift or Mastopexy is a procedure in which the breasts of a woman are lifted up, giving them renewed perkiness, shape and form. This surgery is relatively safe. The surgeons make several incisions around the breasts. The number and position of the cuts, varies depending upon the shape and condition of that specific breast. The surgery may take two or more hours based upon the type of surgery being performed. Either the dark skin (areola) around your nipple or skin from underneath your breast is removed. The nipples as a whole are positioned relative to the new shape your breast will have. In addition, the size of the areola may be reduced to perfectly suit the new shape of the breast. Women with large breasts will have their breast tissue reduced to stop their breasts from sagging.
After the completion of the surgery, the breasts are placed in a special support bra. In some cases, fine tubes made of plastic are left in each breast to drain excess blood and fluids into a bag. After your surgery, you can leave for home the very same day. You may take over-the counter painkillers to help you deal with the pain. You will most likely be slow and drowsy due to the effects of the anesthetic wearing off, so do not take any sort of alcohol. You will need to wear the support bra for up to six weeks depending on your recovery rate. Do check with your doctor to see if you are allergic to the anesthetic.
Side effects of this surgery are mostly only temporary and involve discomfort, breast pain, swelling, soreness and bruising, burning sensation in the nipples and scarring. The scars are only temporary and fade quickly over time.
The cost of this procedure is around $4000. In UK, the price is around £3,250 – £5,500. This price may vary depending upon where you are situated and also from doctor to doctor. You will be given different rates depending upon the condition of your breasts as well. So be sure to check for different rates before you make your final decision.
