IVF Treatment Cost
IVF stand for In vitro fertilization, it is a process of combining women egg and a man sperm in the laborites. In vitro means outside the body and fertilization means the sperm has reached and combine with the egg. This treatment is basically for the people who are infertile. This treatment can be an exciting one but it can never be wracking. This treatment can be repeated more then once if you cannot get the desired results. Its basic purpose is to make a woman pregnant. Usually one time treatment is enough to give a birth to a baby, but it can be more then once.
It has been observed that the live birth rate for each IVF cycle is 30 to 35% for women below age 35, 25% for women among the ages of 35 and 37, 15 to 20% for women among the ages of 38 and 40 and 6 to 10% for women past age 40.
With the passage of the time IVF has become the leading ART technology due to its ease, efficiency, reliablity. The first step of this treatment starts with shutting down the ovaries. This is done with the help of a procedure which is known as a GnRH agonist. For this medication a special drug is used which is known as Lupron. The dose of this drug is from one week to two weeks depending upon the results. With the effect of the drug ovaries will shut down temporarily. The next step engages encouragement of the ovaries with powerful ovulation medications such as Pergonal. They are in the form of injections and are given for probably ten days. When the eggs are ready for cropping, the last and the most important step is to give HCG to induce last maturation. It helps to produce the eggs by a process called ultrasound guided vaginal recovery. After a lot of observation and care and with immense guidance, a thin needle is passed a short distance into the ovaries to collect the eggs. Almost 5 to 15 eggs are required. Then the last step is to give sperm to the egg.
A lot of risks are involved in this treatment; woman taking fertility medicines may have swelling, pain around your stomach and belly, head ache and other side effects. Repeated injections can cause staining. You can also gain a lot of weight in no time.
